The Center collaborates with select accelerator organizations to help speed the growth of startups tackling two of the world’s top killers — heart disease and stroke.

How it Works:

PITCH:

In collaboration with accelerator partners, the Center conducts pitch competitions year-round. A committee of experts, key opinion leaders, and clinicians associated with the Center’s Health Tech Advisory Group select a cohort of start-ups, who participate within the market-focused accelerator.

CONNECT:

Accelerator companies, which comprise start ups and early-stage companies, can tap into a breadth of resources offered by the Center. These resources are customized to accelerate their growth and transform cardiovascular and brain health innovations.

ACCELERATE:

Accelerator companies from pitch competitions are invited to join the Center’s Innovators’ Network, a fee-based consortium of industry entrepreneurs, providers, researchers, pharma, device manufacturers and payors that are looking to elevate and advance their health tech solution.

Collaborators

MedTech Innovator, the world’s largest accelerator of medical technology companies, announced that the American Heart Association’s Center for Health Technology and Innovation (CHTI) and MedTech Innovator (MTI) have collaborated to create the Heart and Brain Health Accelerator within MTI’s global competition and accelerator. The Accelerator, launched on November 11 at the Association’s Annual Scientific Meeting in Philadelphia, will source, evaluate, mentor, and boost the visibility of companies with novel medical technologies and devices, health technologies, or digital health solutions focused on the prevention, diagnosis, treatment and post-treatment secondary prevention of heart and brain health-related diseases and conditions.
