Orel Swenson, MD, MBA

Dr. Orel Swenson is an experienced physician entrepreneur, with broad expertise in digital health. Originally trained as an emergency medicine physician, he cofounded a freestanding ER, practiced at Johns Hopkins, and served as an Associate Medical Director at LifeBridge Health before completing an MBA at Duke University. He was then recruited to work in venture capital, investing in innovative health tech companies, before moving into digital health startups. In addition to helping secure large VC investments, he has had multiple roles revolving around digital diagnostics and therapeutics, remote patient monitoring, asynchronous healthcare delivery, business development and go-to-market strategies. He has also been a speaker at both US and international digital health conferences and serves as a consultant to health tech startups.
