Dr. Erica Schorr, PhD, RN, FAHA

Dr. Erica Schorr, PhD, RN, FAHA is Chair of the Adult and Gerontological Health Cooperative and Associate Professor in the School of Nursing at the University of Minnesota. Dr. Schorr has expertise in designing and testing interventions that utilize mobile health technologies and behavioral strategies to assist individuals in adopting and sustaining heart-healthy behaviors for symptom management and disease burden reduction. Dr. Schorr was named a School of Nursing Foundation Research Professor in 2022. She is a member of the AHA Digital Health in Cardiac Care Advisory workgroup and serves as the Mobile Health & Remote Care Representative and editorial board member on the Mayo Clinic Proceedings: Digital Health. Dr. Schorr has co-authored multiple AHA scientific statements and advisories including a 2023 AHA Science Advisory on digital technologies in cardiac rehabilitation and a 2021 AHA Scientific Statement on using mobile health technologies for secondary cardiovascular disease prevention in older adults.
