Dr. Rashmee Shah is an Assistant Professor in Cardiovascular Medicine at the University of Utah School of Medicine. Dr. Shah’s research focuses on clinical applications of data science, machine learning, and informatics. The overall goal of Dr. Shah’s work– funded by the NHLBI, the Doris Duke Charitable Foundation, and Women as One– is to find the right treatments for the right patients, and maximize benefit while minimizing harm. Her work is increasingly moving from the traditional healthcare delivery system to patient-facing, consumer driven delivery. She is also serves as an Associate Editor for Circulation: Cardiovascular Quality of Care and Outcomes.
Dr. Shah completed medical school at Tufts University, internal medicine resident at Northwestern University, and postdoctoral training in health services research at Stanford University. Her cardiology training was at Cedars-Sinai Medicine Center and the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center. She has been a practicing cardiologist at University of Utah Health for over 7 years, expertise in echocardiography and acute cardiac care.
