Sheryl Brown, PT, MSPT

Sheryl W. Brown, PT, MSPT, is a licensed physical therapist and a strategic healthcare operations leader with a demonstrated passion for improving the quality and quantity of life for the patients and clients she serves. She worked at Texas Health Resources for 29 years beginning as a licensed physical therapist with progressive leadership experience managing rehabilitation and cross-functional teams in a director role. Sheryl also served as System Program Director of Cardiovascular Rehabilitation in which she provided operational and strategic oversight of 14 cardiovascular rehabilitation departments across the Enterprise. Sheryl’s innovative approach to exemplary cardiovascular care, quality, and program development includes the implementation of two “First in Texas” cardiovascular programs at the enterprise level for a multi-hospital healthcare system, including the Dr. Dean Ornish Comprehensive Lifestyle Program for Reversing Heart Disease and Vascular Rehabilitation.

Sheryl obtained her Master’s Degree in Physical Therapy and her specialty in cardiopulmonary physical therapy. Her 20+ years of clinical and leadership expertise entails the development and implementation of clinical, post-clinical, and wellness programs within hospital-based rehabilitation service lines such as physical therapy, cardiac rehabilitation, vascular rehabilitation, and the medical fitness center industry. She has led multidisciplinary teams at the department and enterprise level and values the diversity and contributions of each staff member.

Sheryl recently joined the American Heart Association as Senior Program Consultant for Professional Certification. She is pleased and privileged to live the AHA mission and vision daily in her work through collaboration to design, implement, and optimize the Certified Professional at AHA portfolio to elevate standards of quality and excellence.
