Lynette Navar, RN

Lynette Navar is a registered nurse in Corpus Christi, Tx. After many years in inpatient intensive care, in 2007, she helped launch the Corpus Christi branch of a clinic called A Mission of Mercy, an organization dedicated to providing healthcare to the un- and underinsured. She served as the nursing director for 13 years and played a critical role in expanding the clinic from an RV-based mobile unit to a 14,000 square foot brick and mortar clinic with 7 staff, over 100 volunteers and over 6,700 patients. Lynette worked closely with her daughter, Ann Marie Navar and the AHA team to help develop “Doctors with Heart”, a program designed to provide specialty cardiology consults to general care physicians serving the uninsured.

Lynette has retired from Mission of Mercy but continues as a consultant in the field of delivery of care to the uninsured.
