Daniel McCaffrey

Most recently, Daniel was the Head of Product Development at Samsung Research America. In this role he lead the product research and development efforts of global health technologies. In addition, he was the clinical research regulatory lead on several FDA Class II & Class III Softwares as a Medical Device (SaMD).

In his previous position, Daniel was Dexcom’s [NASDAQ: DXCM] director of product management for digital health, data and analytics. This role was designed to bridge product, marketing, strategy and data innovation.

Before this, he was a member of the Boston Consulting Group Digital Ventures (BCGDV) serving as Lead Product Manager and Project Leader for two years. Here, he led fortune 100 companies such as Novartis, Medtronic, Takeda Pharmaceutical, Starbucks, Boston Scientific and others through digital transformation, strategic planning, product ideation, incubation, development and commercialization. Prior to joining BCGDV, Daniel worked for eight years in clinical roles of increasing responsibility and scope for the Harvard Medical School (MGH & BWH) and several startups focused on healthcare, innovation and wearable technology.

A former behavioral scientist and clinician in training, Daniel believes in a vision of a technologically-enabled healthcare system. He is passionate about developing products and services that can shape the future of health and wellness, while improving outcomes.

Daniel was a research fellow at the National Institutes of Health. He earned his Bachelors degree in Computer Information Systems and his M.B.A. from Quinnipiac University as well as his M.A. in Neuropsychology from Suffolk University.
