Dr. Waziri is a neurosurgeon, neuroscientist and co-founder/CEO of iCE Neurosystems, a neurotech startup providing a comprehensive device/data platform to revolutionize brain care in the critically ill. Prior to leaving clinical practice to launch iCE Neuro, he was a widely recognized cranial neurosurgeon specializing in tumors of the brain, spine and skull base. His laboratory work has focused on studies of immunosuppression and tumor invasion in glioblastoma as well as translational studies modeling emerging technologies for brain monitoring. He continues to serve as board member, scientific advisor and consultant to a range of medtech and biotech companies in the neuro space. Dr. Waziri completed his clinical and research training at Columbia University and the National Institutes of Health.
