Eric D. Peterson, MD, MPH

An internationally acclaimed leader in cardiovascular clinical research, Dr. Peterson has been the Fred Cobb Distinguished Professor of Medicine in the Division of Cardiology at Duke University and served as Executive Director of the Duke Clinical Research Institute from 2012-18. Dr. Peterson’s appointment is exemplary of UT Southwestern’s commitment to transform the clinical research enterprise by building on existing academic strengths and diverse patient populations and benefiting from new faculty recruits and innovative data, digital and quantitative capacities to reach new levels of excellence in bench-to-bedside-to-population translational science.
