Erica Spatz, MD, MHS

Dr Erica Spatz is a cardiologist and Associate Professor in the Section of Cardiovascular Medicine, Yale School of Medicine, and of Epidemiology (Chronic Diseases), Yale School of Public Health. She is director of the Preventive Cardiovascular Health Program at Yale Heart and Vascular Center and of Remote Patient Monitoring at Yale Medicine. Her research focuses on cardiovascular disease prevention and health equity. She is the PI of a PCORI-funded multisite comparative effectiveness study to evaluate health system strategies for improving blood pressure control using remote blood pressure monitoring and community health workers. Her work is published in leading journals, including Circulation: Cardiovascular Quality and Outcomes, JAMA Cardiology, JAMA Network Open, and New England Journal of Medicine. She is a Deputy Editor at JACC.
