Lauren Dickerman, PT, DPT (she/her) is a Boston based women’s health physical therapist with 12+ years of clinical experience. Lauren graduated with her doctorate in physical therapy from UVM after completing undergraduate work in Biology and Chemistry at UVM. She is passionate about taking a holistic patient-specific approach to treating a wide range of women’s health related functional impairments. She is motivated to make a broader impact in the field of women’s health and feels passionately about being involved in healthcare innovation.
She is also a mother of two young daughters. During her pregnancies she experienced cardiac complications leading to postpartum cardiac changes. After experiencing the limitations of the current healthcare system, specifically the lack of awareness, education and access to care Lauren knew that she wanted to be part of bettering maternal cardiac care. Lauren has participated as an AHA advisor working on two projects. She has contributed to the development of a training module for healthcare professionals to learn about digital therapeutics in the setting of cardiac rehab. She is also leading the development of a cardio-obstetric care plan. Lauren is deeply passionate both professionally and personally to improve maternal cardiovascular.
