Dr. Marvel is a Cardiologist at Johns Hopkins Hospital, Co-Director of the Johns Hopkins Digital Health Lab, and Co-Founder and CEO of Corrie Health, Inc.. Corrie Health is a fast-growing digital health start-up that pioneered a new approach to engage cardiovascular patients in American Heart Association guideline-directed care. Corrie is powered by a passionate group of clinicians, researchers, and engineers solving the problem of how cardiovascular disease could be identified earlier, intervened on proactively, and personalized to the patient to drive their empowerment to execute self-management actions with digital health. Inspired by the advancement of digital health, biosensors, and increasing patient engagement with technology, Dr. Marvel is dedicated to transforming cardiovascular care with innovative solutions. Dr. Marvel is active in the American Heart Association community including participation in the American Heart Association’s Empowered to Serve program focused on accelerating the impact of Corrie in East Baltimore’s community. Dr. Marvel is also a collaborator on the American Heart Association’s Strategic Research Network team to innovate Virtual Cardiac Rehabilitation. Overall, Dr. Marvel seeks to connect innovative ideas, people, and state-of-science-technology to improve the lives of all of our patients.
