Timothy Poterucha, MD

Timothy Poterucha, M.D., is a non-invasive cardiologist at Mayo Clinic. Dr. Poterucha earned his medical degree from Mayo Clinic School of Medicine, followed by residency in internal medicine at Brigham and Women’s Hospital/Harvard Medical School. He then completed both cardiology and echocardiography (heart ultrasound) fellowships at Columbia University. Dr. Poterucha’s clinical practice focuses on the management of patients with general and complex heart disease and the use of echocardiography for heart disease diagnosis. Dr. Poterucha’s research interests focus on the use of artificial intelligence and digital health tools to improve diagnostic accuracy, personalize treatment plans, and predict patient outcomes.
