Vimal Ramjee, MD, MBA, FACHE is a physician executive and cardiologist at CommonSpirit Health, one of the nation’s largest nonprofit health systems, where he founded the National Cardiology and Innovation Council, and serves as Division Board President of the American Heart Association. As a panelist with the AHA’s Center for Health Technology and Innovation, he brings a health system operating perspective to the evaluation and responsible adoption of digital health technologies. His work centers on clinical governance, care model redesign, and the responsible adoption of technology, including one of the nation’s largest AI-enabled coronary CT programs and a nurse-led surveillance model now reaching nearly 10,000 patients. He serves on the National Academy of Medicine’s Clinicians’ Forum on AI in Health and Medicine, and as guest faculty in Health Systems Innovation at the Harvard T.H. Chan School of Public Health.
